Behind the scenes with the fabulous Sammi "Sweetheart" of MTV's Jersey Shore

We got behind the scenes access to a photo shoot with Sammi Sweetheart from MTV's super hit reality show Jersey Shore. Street Walkers NYC Creator/Editor Mike Milan was the photographer so it goes without saying that we got in some Q&A with our favorite "sweet bitch," who we found to be WAY more sweet than bitchy. You may know her differently from how the show portrays it but we found Sammi to be very fun, easy-going, grounded and quite easy to work with. Basically...nothing like the reality show or the media portrays.

Our fabulous 2 day shoot was loaded with lots of love, laughs, and reality banter as Sammi got dolled up by an extremely amaze glam squad which was spear-headed by Ryan Nickulas from Logo's hit reality show the A List: New York and owner of Ryan Darius Salon. The fantastic Trina Patterson was the head stylist for the shoot. However, TJ Kelly (A-List:New York) and I both got to play tag-team stylists for the second day and had quite the fashion rumble in the sheets. Need I say more?!

Out & About

When you live in NYC, and often times when you visit, everything can turn into a fast-forward blur.  Here are some parties and events that Street Walkers NYC attended.  Enjoy some moments from Logo's The A-List: NYC's Rodiney Santiago's calendar release party at Boxers NYC, fashion designer Edwing D'Angelo's trunk show (held at Ryan Nickulas's amazing Penthouse), and Lady Fag's Clubber Down Disco at The Chelsea Hotel.

Logo's The A-List: New York, Press Screening and Mixer

 Street Walkers NYC attended The A-List: New York's press screening and mixer.  I got to see the first episode, and what I will tell you is that Logo definitely created an opener that is more of a tease then their actual teasers.  The first episode was like going to a restaurant during Restaurant Week. You like what you see in their limited menu but what you really want to taste is on their main menu!

That is exactly what I got from this first episode.  It wasn't life changing, but it was enough for me to want to watch more!  Not only are the boys beautiful, they have sharp tongues and will teach you some new words like: "Gaymous." - gay + famous.

Beyond the show, the cast is super nice and approachable.  It was a very enjoyable evening and I can't wait to see what is next for them.

The Bachelor Auction (Invite)

Our very own Mike Milan of Street Walkers NYC will be participating in "The Bachelor Auction" on October 5th from 7pm-10pm. If you've been looking for a good organization to give charity to or would simply like to come enjoy the event and gander at these handsome gentlemen, we'd love for you to be there.

Also in the auction will be a very good friend of ours TJ Kelly, from the widely talked about upcoming reality show "The A-List: New York" set to premiere on the LOGO network on October 4th. I'll be taking photos of the event as well so if you see me and would like to get in a picture to be posted on our site then tap me on the shoulder and say something nice. LOL. Fashion's Night Out @ Patricia Field's

Street Walkers NYC was invited by our friend, Seville Michelle Anastos, to her trunk show at Patricia Field's Boutique during Fashion's Night Out.  We had a blast!  It was like SWNYC feature central, with Joe Buffa, Cazwell, and of course Seville in attendance.  Cazwell spun some great songs with Amanda Lepore by his side, while everybody shopped, socialized, drank some booze (courtesy of Skyy Vodka!) and ate delicious cupcakes!

Also in attendance was James Campbell from Kimora's show, Life on the Fab Lane, and the cast from Logo's soon to be hit show, A-List: New York.  We have known Ryan Nickulas and TJ Kelly for close to a decade, but it was our first time meeting the rest of the cast.  As a whole, the guys from A-List were a treat.

The F-Word

Street Walkers NYC's favorite Friday night party in the city, is The F-Word, located at Splash.  Mark Nelson and Formika Jones, have been throwing this party for 2 years now, and every night is a little slice of magic.  With 2 floors, multiple hosts and DJ's, such as Cazwell, Amanda Lepore, Joey Israel and Yusef Xtravaganza (to name a few), F-Word has been in a few locations, but it has remained the gem of gay nightlife in NYC.  Every week, there is a new word beginning with the letter F, that gets you in for free or discounted when mentioned at the door.  All you have to do is call The F-Word hotline: 646-374-4977. 


When I first moved here from Boston, this was the first party that made me feel like I belonged.  Honestly, this is the most diverse crowd you will ever see in a club.  No judgements! Lots of eye candy, scandals, dancing and pure fuckery! The pictures that I took span 2 club nights and still do no justice. Enjoy!
