The Best of 2010!!!

SWNYC Editors, Mike Milan and Harvey Champagne, are pleased to share with you a first annual tradition. We each chose some of our best moments from this year to highlight and share with all of our lovely little street walkers and street walkers lovers. We're simply taking out the old year and bringing in the new one with the very essence of who and what SWNYC is and will remain, as we grow into what we'll become this upcoming year.

Before we give you the goods, we want to take the time to thank everyone who we have been privileged to feature this year, those who have grace our events covered and made it on the site, and lastly those who have allowed us to take their photos while on the streets so we can paint our perfect picture of The Big Apple. Without all of your contributions these streets would be rather empty, and truth be told...we really don't like empty streets. So without further hesitation, have at the goods that made SWNYC's 2010 a special year!

Best Events

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was amazing covering events this year as we got to experience some of the most entertaining NYC has to offer. From pesonal invitations to NYC fashion week events by a ton of designers and stylists, to all-access to promotional events with our long-time friend Ryan Nickulas and the rest of the sexy cast from Logo TV's hit reality series, "The A-List:New York," to a star-studded birthday celebration for one of our most favorite bloggers ConcreteLoop.com, and even to an exclusive surprise performanace by Sylvia Tosun, a billboard top house music recording artist. So we've not only had our hands full of fun, we also had a whole lot of fun!!!

Creating some unique relationships with those who's events we have covered, we've even taken a residence at on-going events such as fitness instructor/choreographer Joe Buffa (www.buffaboy.com/) and his Dance Strong Event, where we get to do a lot of the things that we love to do most. That's cover events, hang out with Joe, burn calories and DANCE! We also share that type of relationship at the Naughty Kult Events hosted by none other than the international record label Kult Records and Naughty Music. These events usually share both resident and guest DJ's who bless the dancefloor with every beat they play and keep the crowd coming back for more.

Make sure you keep walking the streets with us to continue catching oppurtunities to attend events like the prior stated with us...until then have at our montage of best event moments...

"On The Streets" Favorites

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"On The Streets" posts are not only one of your favorite SWNYC photo experiences  to binge on, but it's also one that we love to work on. We really put a lot of effort into telling you the story before we even begin to capture the pieces, and that usually results in a lot of planning, hard work, and sometimes a compromising postion; none of which are too horrible to walk away from. So truly speaking it's work that is well worth the consequences. We've braved the bitter cold, been rained on, swarmed and stampeded by probably the highest concentration of tourists on the planet, and cursed out by paranoid people who don't want their photos taken for the site.

In turn, we've had the privelege of walking the streets in NYC's 7th Annual Wedding March in support of legalizing gay marriage with some of the Real Housewives of New York and many others. And, we never fail to meet the awesome kind of people who live, breathe, look, and own New York City. The kind of people that intrigued and inspired us to be SWNYC in the first place. Here's our review of "On The Streets" photos that best capture that spirit...

So raise your glasses and toast these special moments and make sure you go out (or stay in) and celebrate your New Year's Eve in style like just like Mike Milan and Harvey Champagne would!!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS STREETWALKERS!!!
